Where do we start?  There’s so much to see and do here.

Whangarei Heads must be one of the best places in New Zealand for walking, with several prepared walkways within 20 minutes drive. These range from an energetic climb up Mount Manaia or Mount Lion, to an easy stroll through A H Reed Memorial Kauri Park to the Whangarei Falls.

Sailing, swimming and fishing in the Bays is always popular, and with Whangarei Town only 20 minutes away there are restaurants, cafes, a theatre and museums within easy reach.

At Kauri Villas our facilities include an 11 metre swimming pool and heated spa with a large deck area for barbeques and parties.  We have a croquet lawn (too rough for serious players!) and for that rare wet day we have an indoor games room with 8 ft snooker / pool table, table tennis table, dart board and table football.   We also have several board games, and Brio for the younger ones, who also enjoy feeding our animals.

The Parua Bay Tavern and a cafe are 3 minutes away, and the Pines Golf Course is within five minutes. Drew might even be persuaded to join you in a game (we have spare clubs) but his handicap and enthusiasm are both high!

Meet our family

We have our own beef and sheep grazing in the paddocks. Also a dog, two cats, and a few chickens.

Special functions and parties are catered for.  We can seat 25 or host a poolside party for 50 with ease. Pre-wedding party, office party, or birthday party, each would be catered to your requirements.
